Everyone gets excited when it comes to traveling. But since 2020 March, the global situation has taken a complete turn, harboring fear and anxiety in every socio-economic sector, specifically, the travel and tourism industry.

While travel is a union of different cultures coming together under one umbrella, the current pandemic scenario has greatly worn off the industry spirit. Although travel and tourism are slowly trying to rise from the debris of this unprecedented scenario, people find it quite challenging to pace up to the earlier form of traveling.

People’s surging demand to begin traveling is quite a big motivation for the travel industry worldwide, however, one can surely be assured that the venture might not be an easy one. Despite the serious precautionary adoptions and restrictions put in various airports or hotels, the fear of contracting the virus tends to keep most of the population at the brink of hesitation.

Although the fight against this unprecedented back fall is not quite a new one, the travel industry’s upcoming strategy against the fall back has taken a new bend, adopting various contactless technological tools as a weapon.

The first phase of this began midway during a stringent lockdown period where we found various travel sites offering 3D travel option at a certain cost, in which the participants had to pay minimum local currency to have a 3D view of their favorite tourist spot from any part of the world and locomoting through the streets and alleys by scrolling through their screen. And surprisingly, it became quite popular as many participants opted for the digital trip.

But now, slowly as the travel agency is emerging, and people are looking forward to beginning traveling, keeping apart the adopted restriction around the world, we see possible benefits that contactless technology will be rendering as an additional benefit for the future travel-epoch.

Online ticketing and booking sites are not something new. We see an increasing amount of online banking emerging daily that is eventually incorporating various other new features as a stairway to the upcoming travel days. Many cards are validating online menu selection and payments in various cafes and restaurants. The customers are notified over their card gadget to come and take away their order from the table without undergoing the hassle of standing in a big queue amidst a great crowd.

These smart cards and online banking is paving a great way to keep away from any touchpoints while paying the cab driver or getting your favorite dish from a crowded restaurant. Moreover, newer technologies are also introducing various AI-enabled room facilities through which customers can dictate and command any action, be it pulling a curtain, call a waiter, or ask for room service; this will help in avoiding to come near any touchpoints.

Coming to tourism, technology benefits the consumers and the entrepreneurs in bringing forth newer strategies, planning, national and international summits, and digital marketing tools to pace up the travel and tourism industry back on its feet.

Although today, COVID vaccines are making headlines in every aspect, specifically inciting excitement for the travel industries, we can be assured that the incoming development of these high-tech tools has already received lots of accolades from people worldwide the world. In fact, it might not be wrong to say that people are already beginning to rethink their upcoming travel plans, thanks to these travel tech tools. But one thing is for sure: once these tools are in trend, it will reach a remarkable height and might be the next most inevitable travel tool in the future.
