The pandemic has changed the way marketing and messaging is done on social media. Now, social media users are looking for more interactive, visual messages and have a human touch from the brands.

In this chat with TechGenyz, Ric Goell, Co-Founder at PosterMyWall talks about social media strategy, the changing landscape of the industry, and user behaviour.

TG: Tell us more about PosterMyWall and how it is helping the marketers

Ric Goell: PosterMyWall is a do-it-yourself tool that empowers organizations and small businesses to create professionally-designed graphics, videos, and promotional materials. These materials are used for print, email, social media, websites, presentations, and more. We have a huge library of pre-design templates, nearly 200,000, that can be very quickly and easily customized for any brand. Our goal is to make it very, very easy for someone to create–and publish–all the promotional materials that their business or organization needs.

TG: Why do you think that marketers need a strong social media strategy?

Ric Goell: The world has been moving from mass media to pinpoint targeting of audiences through social media for a long time. COVID accelerated the speed of this move because so social distancing has driven customers to spend the time that they might have spent doing other things online. You have to have a strong social media strategy because you need to be where your customers are. In the age of COVID, your customers are on social media. Relying on foot traffic and storefront signage is not an option. 

We believe that even after the COVID vaccine is distributed and foot traffic returns, new online habits will remain.

TG: What are your target demographics?

Ric Goell: Our customers are busy people who appreciate tools that help them save time and get things well without requiring outside or specialist support. They care about the face their business or organization shows the world and feel satisfied when they know they’ve done good work. They live all over the world and include people of all kinds and ages.

TG: Do you provide a free subscription for the users? If yes how can our readers avail it?

Ric Goell: Our pricing model is very flexible. Many of our social media templates can be used free of charge for people who require screen resolution output. We offer two subscription plans for people who need higher resolution output or frequently use video or animation. Our “Premium Plan” is for users who need to create images for online and print use. Our “Premium Plus Plan” adds the ability to create unlimited animations and videos.

TG: At last, please tell us what is your growth plan for the coming years

Ric Goell: We continue to extend our leadership in three areas:

1. Continue to grow what is already the largest online template library available. Specifically, we are adding more video and animated templates.

2. Make the most powerful online editor on the market even more powerful with new video and animation capabilities. 

3. Introduce more marketing campaign tools that make it even easier to distribute and publish graphics created on our website.
