Samsung is likely to launch a new display form factor phone in 2021. As per the reports published by the company itself, the South Korean company will also launch the Z Flip 2 and the Z Fold 3 with a foldable display alongside the rollable display smartphone. In fact, the Samsung display division’s vice president Choi Kwon-young confirmed that the company’s first-ever rollable and slidable displays will be launched this year. For a smartphone to incorporate the new rollable display may take some time, but Samsung has assured that smartphones with the new display tech would not be far too far behind.

When the smartphones with rollable displays become commercial ready, they will join other similar smartphones, the likes of Oppo X 2021 and the LG Rollable. As the display itself is still under production, there is no word available as to what kind of features to expect from the upcoming smartphones. Even the Oppo X 2021 is still a concept smartphone and is not yet ready for commercial release. However, LG Rollable might get launched later this year.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is likely to launch in August 2021. The company could also launch the Z Flip 2 in June or July 2021. However, this has not been officially confirmed yet.
