Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will finally be released in the 4K Ultra HD version on March 23. This news has been confirmed by Warner Bros. Entertainment. The movie frame varies from 2.35 to 1.43, just like the original version of the movie. Furthermore, keeping the new version in mind, the reworked DC movie will also support Dolby Atmos.

The IMAX remake of the DC franchise movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is likely to fix the issues inherent or seen in the previous 4K version of the movie. Although the previously released Blu-ray version of the film appears fine, the 4K version possessed a few problems. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” can greatly enhance the viewing experience with the IMAX1.43:1 full-frame picture enhancement.

Zack Snyder mentioned in a statement, “I just approved the Blu-ray box the other day. So for sure, it will exist on Blu-ray, and then I think it will exist on HBO Max. I have to confirm now, but for sure we’ve been talking about the release.”

The original Batman v Superman was released on Blu-ray back in 2016; however, it was only last year that Snyder mentioned that he had been working on a remastered version of the film that will restore the IMAX aspect ratio. The director also mentioned that the new aspect ratio will update the film’s 4K visuals. “It’s meant to, especially for the special edition, it’s to replace the one that was kind of messed up a little bit,” Snyder said. He further mentioned, “The Blu-ray, I think, was okay. The 4K was messed up.”

Directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gadot. The remastered version will release on March 23, 2021.
