A few days ago the trailer of the game Battlefield 2042 was launched, and on June 13 a demonstrating video of the gameplay made its way to the public. The gameplay revealed new features and gadgets for fighters and also unveiled the largest map in the history of the Battlefield series.

The main map that has been shown in the trailer is that of Hourglass. The events are taking place in Doha in Qatar, which has been transformed completely due to the recent sandstorm that the city experienced. The theme of the game is of a dystopian future where the world is threatened by the existence of an imminent environmental collapse and economic misery. The soldiers will have to figure out the problem and fight in order to save the planet from extinction. The game will feature drones, wing-suits, and quadruped robot wing-suits all of which the players can use. In Battlefield 2041 the players will have to battle it out to gain technological advancement and gather resources and territory across India, South Korea, Singapore, Qatar, and Antarctica. Not only the sandstorm in Qatar, but the players will also have to endure and survive extreme natural calamities such as tornadoes, and tsunamis, all of which will be unpredictable in the game. The players could also use the calamities to their advantage to defeat their opponents. The largest map of the game which was unveiled, can accommodate up to 128 players inside the game.

Battlefield 2041 will get launched on October 22, 2021, on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series XS, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Next-gen PCs and consoles can have up to 128 players, and older consoles will have up to 64 players. For Windows and PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users, the game will cost $59.99; however, for the owners of PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X, the game will cost $69.99.
