Disney premiered a new Star Wars series on its streaming platform, Disney Plus on May 4, in keeping with the famous Star Wars motto of the Resistance, “May the force be with you.” The new Star Wars series is called Bad Batch and it is an entirely CGI-animated show from the producer Dave Filoni who also produced the very famous Star Wars series called The Mandalorian. The latest episode of the series, episode nine, is now available on Display Plus.

As is the norm now with any Disney Plus original series, the platform drops a single episode every week. Star Wars: Bad Batch new episodes drop once a week on Fridays which is a great way to fill the gap between other big franchise shows which became extremely popular, namely MCU’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki. Both of these shows were welcomes with open arms by fans and critics alike.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch comes from The Mandalorian producer Dave Filoni. Filoni’s association with The Mandalorian series speaks volumes about the new Bad Batch series to Star Wars fans. However, the storyline of the series is an eye-catcher. The new Star Wars series is a spin-off of the lauded computer-animated series called The Clone Wars which is also available on Disney Plus.

The Bad Batch takes place after the famous ending of the Revenge of the Sith. The new series makes use of the same CGI-animated style as used in Revenge of the Sith. Bad Batch charts the missions of a squad of a clone trooper who made their first appearances in the final season of The Clone Wars. This team of mercenaries was a result of genetic mutations, and these characters are voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, Ming-Na Wen (as a younger version of Fennec Shand, reprising the character she plays in The Mandalorian), Stephen Stanton and Andrew Kishino.
