Amazon has announced the launch of two new devices in India: the Echo Show 10 and Echo Show 5. Both the speakers come with a display, and the Echo Show 10 is offered in black color, whereas the Echo Show 5 comes in three color variants: black, blue, and white. Amazon says that, globally, the number of video calls made with Echo smart speakers with screens has gone up three times in the last year. Following this revelation, the company has decided to launch two brand new smart speakers.
The Echo Show 10 comes with a 10.1-inch HD display, and a 13 MP front camera. One of the most interesting features of this device is its intelligent motion that moves the display to face the display following the user’s voice. The speakers, which are placed on the body of the device, too, would rotate following the direction of the user’s voice. Needless to say, these rotating speakers would provide directional sound. The Echo Show 5, on the other hand, comes with a 5.5-inch display. It also comes with a Drop-In feature that lets the users open a conversation between devices using the Alexa contacts.
The users have the ability to access a live feed from Echo Show 10 using the Alexa app on their smartphones or use another Echo Show to remotely pan the display and the camera to see the entire room. The users can also set up and control thousands of Wi-Fi-connected smart home appliances such as lights, plugs, AC, fans, TVs, geysers, and more that work with Alexa.
The all-new Echo Show 10 is priced at Rs 24,999 and will be available on the Amazon website. The Echo Show 5, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 8,999 it will be available at a discounted price of INR 6,999.
