Redmi G 2021 Gaming Laptop Launched; Sale Starts From September 23

Redmi G 2021 gaming laptop was launched on September 22. The new model is an update of last year’s Redmi G model; the new laptop boasts an AMD Ryzen 7 processor.

The new gaming laptop comes in two variants: Intel and AMD. Although there are differences in specs when it comes to the two variants, both variants feature a 144Hz display and 16GB of RAM. However, the main difference between these two variants is that the Intel variant features an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, and the AMD version comes with the Ryzen 7 processor.

Redmi G 2021 gaming laptop from the Chinese tech giant features a 16.1-inch display that offers a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Under the hood, the laptop runs on an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11260H processor alongside an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. The AMD option for the same laptop comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800 processor that comes along with the NVIDIA GeForce 3060 graphics card. Both the variants feature Xiaomi’s Hurricane Cooling 3.0 heat dissipation technology that has large dual fans. The AMD model comes with a 230W power adapter.

On the storage front, both versions of the Redmi G 2021 gaming laptop are the same. Both the laptops feature 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Other general features of both the laptops include Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, a DTS:X Ultra 3D sound experience, USB Type-C charging, and the infamous Xiao AI digital assistant.

The Intel Core i5 model of the Redmi G 2021 is priced at CNY 5,699, roughly INR. 64,900, and the AMD Ryzen 7 version is priced at CNY 6,999, roughly INR. 79,700. The Intel variant of the laptop will be available in China for sale starting September 23, and the AMD variant will be available starting September 28.
