Xiaomi Launches the Redmi 9I Sport, and the Redmi 9A Sport in India

Xiaomi has again launched two smartphones in India under the pocket-friendly budget: the Redmi 9i Sport and the Redmi 9A Sport. Both the smartphones will go on sale on September 28 at 12 pm through Mi.com, Mi Home Stores, and other outlets.

Although there is a difference in the pricing of the smartphones, the 9i Sport and the 9A Sport feature very similar specs, for starters, both smartphones feature a 6.53-inch of HD+ display that offers a resolution of 720×1600 pixels. The front display of the smartphones comes with a waterdrop notch design which houses a selfie camera of 5 MP.

Under the hood, the smartphones run on a MediaTek Helio G25 SoC. However, one point of departure for the smartphones is that the Redmi 9A Sport offers 2GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage options. In contrast, the Redmi 9i Sport offers 4GB RAM with 64GB memory, and 4GB RAM with 128GB of storage options. The devices are powered by a massive 5000mAh battery that comes with 10W charging support.

The back of the smartphone comes with a single 13MP camera accompanied by a LED flash and a 3.5mm headphone jack. However, neither of the smartphones comes with a fingerprint scanner or an AI Face Unlock system. But these smartphones do offer P2i coating, which makes the smartphones splash resistance.

The Redmi 9A Sport is being offered in three color options: Carbon Black, Coral Green, and Metallic Blue. The 2GB+ 32GB storage option is priced at INR. 6,999, and the 3GB+32GB storage option is priced at INR. 7,999. Redmi 9i Sport also comes in three colors mentioned above. The 4GB+ 64GB version is priced at INR. 8799, and the 4GB+ 128GB is priced at INR. 9,299.
