On September 29, the multinational video game company Sony Interactive Entertainment disclosed that the new developer is likely to set foot in PlayStation Studios as UK-based video game developer Firesprite Limited has successfully finalized the proper acquisition of Fabrik Games.

Firesprite snagged up Fabrik Games for an unrevealed sum. Fabrik Games was founded by Firesprite’s Director Graeme Ankers in 2014 and is headquartered in Manchester, UK. The notable thing is that PlayStation hasn’t bought Fabrik studio, but Firesprite has acquired the studio. But Firesprite is also one of the developers in PlayStation Studios.

Fabrik has also published a couple of great games on its own, named Filthy Lucre and The Lost Bear.

In addition, Fabrik Games formerly collaborated with Firesprite to develop a survival horror shooter title, The Persistence, to multiple platforms. Fabrik is prepped to join Firesprite, playing a pivotal position in the studio’s innovation to bolster exclusive games’ Sony interactive Entertainment directory.

Sony’s Interactive Entertainment studio developed quite a plenty in 2021. Notably, With this acquisition of Fabrik, Firesprite’s developers count will reach 265. Who could mind this? We always anticipate a better game.

Graeme Ankers said, “I’m delighted to announce that we will be bringing Fabrik Games and Firesprite together as part of our exciting next step with PlayStation Studios. They are a team of passionate and committed developers, led by industry veterans who have worked on many AAA franchises. We’re looking forward to bolstering our creative talent as we continue on our journey to offer truly unique experiences for PlayStation fans.”

“We have a history working and collaborating closely with Firesprite. There’s a huge amount of creative and cultural alignment already and the entire team is excited to be on board. We can’t wait to show everyone what we’re capable of.” – The head of Fabrik’s studio Errol Ismail.

What remains, at last, is patience. So, we have to forbear and see how games flick off from the studios; whilst this acquisition would undoubtedly offer a cosmic matter to us, the gaming world is growing bigger and mightier to keep us cherished.
