The online website of the American multinational technology company, Apple Store, has been reported inaccessible ahead of the launch of Apple Watch Series 7 preorders.
Recall that in September, Apple announced that its online store would be open for the preorders of the Apple Watch Series 7, the company’s next-generation wearable.
However, Apple Store is expected to reopen at 5 a.m. Pacific Time, or 8 a.m. Eastern time. Orders purchased today should arrive on October 15, despite reports that Apple’s launch supplies are extremely limited.
The Apple Watch Series 7 has a more streamlined design, with 41mm and 45mm casings that allow bigger Retina displays with 20% more screen area than the Apple Watch Series 6. New software features such as a QWERTY keyboard with QuickPath typing and larger user interface graphics are taking advantage of the greater screen real estate.
A front crystal that is 50 percent thicker and specially built to prevent cracks enhances durability. The crystal’s structure refracts light from the display, creating a wraparound effect that reduces the perceived thickness of the bezels, which are already tiny.
The new Apple Watch has a 40 percent smaller case and features design upgrades that make it the most durable Apple Watch yet. The watch’s chassis has an IP6X certification and a “swim proof” WR50 water resistance rating, in addition to a more durable face crystal.
Another significant update is the charging method, which is now 33 percent faster than the Apple Watch Series 6 model. According to Apple, the new Magnetic Fast Charger USB-C Cable can charge the iPhone to 80% in 45 minutes.
It should be noted that Apple has not revealed the price of the Apple Watch Series 7 beyond the $399 starting price, but a rumored leak on Thursday claims to expose some options.
Nevertheless, If the report is accurate, the Apple Watch Series 6 pricing structure will be carried over to Series 7, with aluminum devices priced at $399 and $429 for 41mm and 45mm GPS only variations, and $499 and $529 for GPS + Cellular variants. Nike’s units are priced similarly. The stainless steel Apple Watch Edition costs $699 for 41mm devices and $749 for 45mm models, while the titanium Apple Watch Edition costs $799 and $849.
