Today, the Fortnite Epic games developer unveils the new version 18.40 update. The news was shared via a Reddit post early this morning. The post reads: “In v18.40 Update – Preparations Underway.
What’s up, Fortnite fam?
We’re beginning to disable matchmaking in preparation for the v18.40 update, with server downtime beginning soon.
We’ll let you all know with a new thread when downtime has ended.”
The new version 18.40 update seems to be one of the biggest this season and has a lot in store for players. Fortnite players can get a new update for their PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Android, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Data miners have found details of the new Cube Pyramid POI, while Epic Games has offered fans a glance at the Tech Legends Pack.
There’s an encrypted file that weighs in at around 1.34 GB when it comes to clandestine files!
The game has, of course, been taken offline as part of the upgrade. Before you can start playing, you’ll need to download and install the update.
The updated version featured the Naruto cosmetic, a new Mythic weapon, and possibly some NPCs from the popular series including Kunai Knives, Shurikens, and a new Kono map to the Creative mode. A brand new trailer will accompany the Naruto crossover.
In all, the new update is provides more information on the arrival of Chapter 3 and how the Cube Queen will bring an end to the ongoing chapter.
