ZTE to Launch Three Mobile Phones Equipped With Snapdragon 8 Gen1

Qualcomm will host the Snapdragon Summit on December 1, and at the event, the chip manufacturer is likely to introduce the new generation of flagship chips. It is currently reported that the new flagship of Snapdragon will be named the Snapdragon 8 Gen1.

The flagship will employ Samsung’s 4nm process and will feature a 3.0GHz X2 super core, three 2.5GHz large cores, and four 1,79GHz small core CPUs. Previously, it was rumored that Xiaomi and Motorola might come up with flagships featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen1; however, now it appears that ZTE will step in.

According to a number of reports, three models of ZTE’s Snapdragon 8 Gen1 have been exposed. The models are NX679J, NX701J, and NX709J. Among the exposed three models, the NV679J is the Red Devils 7, the NX709J is the Red Devils 7 Pro, and the NX701J is the Nubia Z40 flagship. It should be mentioned that among the three models, the NV679J Red Magic 7 is the first flagship of the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 in China. It only goes on to show that Nubia and the ZTE companies have collaborated closely with Qualcomm to complete the overall design. Although there is a chance that

ZTE might not be the first one to launch the flagship, nonetheless, it will appear in the first batch of models, and it might get delivered to the users very soon. ZTE might try to push the launch of its flagships in the upcoming year.

The performance of the Snapdragon flagship is very powerful. The AnTuTu score of the same has exceeded 1 million points. Moreover, the chip integrates Snapdragon’s latest X65 5G baseband. According to a few online reports, the X65 5G baseband supports a 10GBPS 5G rate which is the first of its kind. Moreover, the first modem and radio frequency system will comply with the 3GPP release 16 specifications.
