Previously it was rumored that Vivo would launch the Vivo S12 and the Vivo Watch 2 in the near future. But it was confirmed on December 14 that Vivo will launch both devices on December 22 in China.

The upcoming Vivo Watch 2 will be the successor of the Vivo Watch which made its first debut in September 2021. Last month, an image leaked of the watch, and it revealed that the Vivo Watch 2 will come featuring a round-shaped dial just like the previous Vivo Watch. However, officially there has been no news regarding the design and specification of the smartwatch. The Vivo Watch 2 is expected to have both leather and silicone strap options. A few experts commented that the smartwatch is likely to be powered by a 501mAh battery and that it should offer options like a heart rate tracker, a built-in GPS, and a step counter.

Previous information suggests that the new Vivo S12 will feature the latest Dimensity 1200 flagship chipset from MediaTek; the processor will feature a 6nm manufacturing process and 4x Cortex-A78 cores for a stronger performance.

Vivo mentioned that there will be two versions of the smartphone available: the Standard version and the Pro version. The design of the front display will have a small notch, and the smartphone is supposed to have a Full HD+ OLED display. The design of the backside of the smartphone is very similar to OPPO Reno6. The backside of the smartphone will feature 108MP triple rear cameras.

Vivo S12’s offline promotional materials reveal that the smartphone will have a 50MP dual camera on its front, and the rear camera is 100MP. The smartphone will also have a game boost mode. Both the Standard version and the Pro version are likely to support 44W fast charging.

The pricing of the smartphone has not been revealed.
