The smartphone giant IQOO is all set to launch its new set of flagship smartphones, namely the iQOO nine and the iQOO 9 Pro, on January 5, 2022. Before the launch came to fruition, a lot of online sources leaked quite a lot of vital information about the smartphone.

Not only that, in the previous weeks leading up to its launch day, the company itself has revealed more information as to what to expect from the new smartphones. Two of the highlights of the upcoming phone are worth mentioning: Samsung’s 50 MP ISOCELL GN5 sensor and the LTPO 2.0 technology.

Some of the known features of the smartphone include the 120-watt battery charging and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processors along with LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory. Moreover, the smartphone is expected to feature an AMOLED E5 display that is manufactured by Samsung; the display is supposed to offer a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The screen will be flat with Full HD+ resolution, and the other smartphone, the iQOO 9 Pro, will come with a QHD+ display with curved edges.

The company has also shared a teaser video of the upcoming smartphone, and it reveals a BMW M Motorsport branding at the top. It only confirms that the company will continue with its partnership with BMW M Motorsport for its new flagship.

In a tweet recently, it was unveiled that the product of this partnership is likely to be that the upcoming smartphone will come encased inside a metal frame. However, for this news to get confirmed, we have to wait for the official launch which is going to take place on January 5. 2022.

The company’s Weibo account reveals that the new flagship will use a large-surface sub-screen fingerprint reader that scans in 3D. Moreover, the smartphones manufactured in collaboration with the BMW Motorsport team will be offered in different colours.
