Today, Tuesday, February 2022, Xiaomi India has officially announced that it has partnered with Shell to sell its digital accessories at Indian petrol stations to make its lifestyle products more accessible to consumers.
The partnership begins in Bangalore, where five Shell gas stations have been chosen to sell a selection of Xiaomi accessories and lifestyle items.
According to Xiaomi India, some of these digital accessories include Mi Portable Electric Air Compressor, Mi Smart Band 5, Mi 2A Fast Charger with Cable, Mi Beard Trimmer 1C, Redmi Earbuds 2C, and Redmi Power Bank 20,000 mAh, among other items.
The tech giant’s mission is to make technology and innovation more accessible to consumers across the country while also reaching out to a previously untapped market. Xiaomi India’s relationship with Shell demonstrates its dedication to the customer by allowing them to buy their favorite Xiaomi and Redmi accessories while on the go.
For the past 16 quarters, Xiaomi India has been the number one smartphone brand, with 75+ Mi Homes, 75+ Mi Studios, 9400+ Mi Preferred Partners, 4000+ Large Format Retail partners, and 3000+ Mi Stores.
Recall that Xiaomi released its first omnichannel solution last year. Mi Commerce is a project that aims to blur the lines between online and offline commerce. Later in 2021, the firm announced the opening of its 10,000th Mi Home store in China, indicating that it is now concentrating on global expansion.
Reacting to the new development, the Senior Director of Offline sales, Xiaomi India, Sunil Baby, said:
“Through our partnership with Shell, our aim is to increase the availability and accessibility of Xiaomi India’s range of accessories in the country for consumers. We are proud to pilot this initiative with hopes of becoming the perfect product partner for consumers and fans across the country.”
