Today, the OnePlus Nord 2 is getting its OxygenOS A.17 update globally, bringing the February 2022 Android security patch, the newest replacement, and other minor system upgrades.

A OnePlus Nord 2 India user confirmed the OxygenOS A.17 February 2022 update and shared the screenshot via the OnePlus forum.

Therefore, following the release of OxygenOS releases with Android security patches for January 2022 to the flagship OnePlus 9 collection and a few OnePlus Nord devices last month, the company has begun sending out February 2022 patches to its devices.

The OnePlus Nord 2 is the first device in the company’s growing smartphone lineup to receive the most recent security updates.

The update adds the February 2022 Android security patches to the mid-range system but doesn’t include any new features or changes. The complete OxygenOS A.17 changelog for the OnePlus Nord 2 reads: Up to date Android Safety Patch to 2022.2.

It is reported that the latest OxygenOS software for the OnePlus Nord 2 will be released in stages, like with prior OxygenOS releases. As a result, it should first reach a small number of Nord 2 subscribers, with a wider rollout to follow in the coming days.

If you haven’t previously downloaded the update, you can download the firmware bundle and manually install it.

However, if you’re using your Nord 2 as a daily driver and don’t want to deal with the bugs that may be there in the initial release, we don’t recommend it.

If you choose to install the update manually, regardless of the risks, make sure to check the current firmware build in your system and acquire the relevant incremental replace bundle.

At the moment, it is only learned that access to incremental replaces packages from OxygenOS A.16 and OxygenOS A.15, however, that of OTA is not yet released. Stay connected to Techgenyz for the latest updates about the software.
