As the 2022 Mobile World Congress continues today in Barcelona, the Taiwanese tech giant HTC has unveiled a number of innovations and technologies to stand unique among other competitors at the congress.

According to HTC CEO Cher Wang, who elucidates some of the innovations unveiled by the company at the MWC 2022, particularly the vision of the Viverse metaverse, said a number of new products have been introduced, among are the Vive Browser (VR-based web browser), Vive Connect (a “portal” to the Vive), Vive Guardian for Vive Flow, and the Vive Avatar: a tool for cross-service avatar creation according to VRM standards.

HTC noted that from the time you wake up in the morning until you go to sleep at night, Viverse is our version of the metaverse, an immersive, boundless universe of great new experiences and a seamless doorway to other universes in collaboration with our partners.

HTC offers a sample of Viverse, an animated virtual world Wang describes as a safe and secure environment for children and adults. It will be a place where people can personalize, collaborate, and have a good time.

In a youtube video release, the corporation also revealed that it had unveiled the Reign Foundation, its latest portable private 5G solution, which was developed in partnership with Supermicro and HTC’s new company, G-Reign.

In addition, HTC has partnered with Holoride to deliver virtual reality entertainment to car passengers. It used Holoride’s immersive technology platform to demonstrate its Vive Flow immersive VR glasses. At MWC 2022, HTC Vive and Holoride will take select guests on a journey around Barcelona to demonstrate their ride-ready glasses and in-car VR experience.

During the free ride, passengers will be able to experience Holoride’s ‘elastic content,’ which adapts in real-time to route length and kind, driving styles, and location.

According to Wang, Viverse is already present in VR apps and will become more prevalent as AR and VR hardware improves, resulting in a “future where the unimaginable becomes possible.”

You will be able to work out at a gym from the comfort of your own home, attend virtual concerts, and climb virtual glaciers in the Viverse. Virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and 5G are among the metaverse technologies that will be important, according to Wang.

The MWC is a global congress attended by global mobile operators, device manufacturers, technology providers, vendors, and content owners, among others, where world-class enterprises and trailblazers exchange the most up-to-date thinking on the evolution and future of connectivity. It’s also the finest place to meet mobile and IT industry influencers for networking. And the most important event for the connectivity business in the world.
