The next year, Huawei unveiled the Mate Xs, an improved version of the Mate X with a 5G chip integrated into the processor.
As the need for foldable phones is gaining traction in the mobile market, Huawei keeps exploring its technology towards the line. This led the mobile giant to introduce the Huawei Mate X series smartphones, both in horizontal foldable and vertical foldable designs.
Huawei released the Mate X2 last year, which boasts a fresh design and two display systems. The main display is contained within the foldable design, while the other remains operational while the device is folded.
It’s all about the displays on the Huawei Mate X2. First, there’s the main display, which is an 8-inch foldable panel capable of 16.7 million colors. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate, as well as a resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels.
The exterior panel, on the other hand, is 6.45 inches wide and offers a 240Hz touch sampling rate, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a resolution of 2700 x 1160 pixels.
However, in recent developments, a popular tipster leaker has revealed that the mobile giant is currently working on new foldable phones to stay in competition in the market.
As such, the Chinese smartphone maker could launch a new foldable phone named Huawei Mate X3 any moment from now.
According to a well-known Weibo tipster, the new Huawei Mate X3 foldable phone should be released by the Chinese mobile company this year.
For the time being, however, nothing is guaranteed because this information comes from third-party sources rather than government channels.
Nonetheless, this information about the Huawei Mate X3 foldable phone has already begun to dampen our enthusiasm.
