As we just discovered via a tipster, the upcoming honor product launch conference scheduled for May is expected to feature a new flagship tablet, a version of Dimensity 9000.

Honor has scheduled May of this year for the unveiling of a number of products, however, a new android tablet series is expected to be featured during the launch conference.

According to reports, the new flagship tablet will be powered by a powerful chip, most likely a flagship chip, and will set the bar for android tablets in 2022. While not officially stated, the source implied that the alleged chip will be a higher-frequency version of the MediaTek Dimensity 9000.

This version is designed for tablets and low-power notebooks, and it is unlikely to make its way to smartphones.

Last year, when the Dimensity 9000 was released, it was seen as an industry leader in processing, gaming, photography, multimedia, and connection capabilities, as it is the world’s first smartphone built on the ultra-efficient TMSC N4 (class4 nm) manufacturing process.

Describing how huge bandwidth demands the Dimensity  9000 is in the mobile market then, Dr. Wang. Yenchi  Lee, the Deputy General Manager of MediaTek’s Wireless Communications Business Unit  said: “The  Dimensity  9000 is the most powerful and energy-efficient chip to date, offering a host of industry firsts and a full suite of features for the most demanding technology enthusiasts.”

Recall that last year, the tech giant also unveiled the V7 Pro tablet, which used the MediaTek Kompanio 1300T chipset. The CPU contains 4A78 large cores + 4A55 small cores and is built on TSMC’s 6nm technology, and it’s likely that the chip mentioned above will also be part of the Kompanio series.

Therefore, the tablets are expected to be a new honor MagicBook series that will be equipped with 12th Gen Intel or Ryzen 6000 series processors, which will be unveiled at the May event. Stay connected with Techgenyz for more latest updates.
