Realme has expanded its range of Realme 9 series smartphones in the Indian market. The company’s latest offering in the series is the Realme 9 4G. As its name suggests, the new phone is a 4G variant of the Realme 9 5G, which was released in the country in March.

The new smartphone has arrived as a mid-range handset with an attractive design, thanks to the Ripple Holographic pattern on the back. The phone’s rear panel’s color changes, depending on the reflection of the light at various angles. The Realme 9 4G also has a punch-hole design, a massive rectangular primary camera module, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a high screen refresh rate.

Realme 9 4G display and software

Talking about the display first, the Realme 9 4G flaunts almost non-existent bezels all around the screen, which provides an immersive media experience. The handset boasts a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, which has full HD+ resolution, and a layer of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 on top. In addition, the device has a high screen refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz.

A fingerprint sensor is also placed under the screen for security. As for the software, the device boots Android 12 with the Realme UI 3.0 custom skin out of the box. As per the company, the Realme 9 4G has an improved corner protection design and a tightly sealed structure for waterproofing on some levels.

Realme 9 4G processor, RAM, and storage options

Moving on to the other specs, the Realme 9 4G is fitted with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, which has a maximum clock speed of 2.4GHz. The chipset is paired with the Qualcomm Adreno 610 graphics processor, which should provide a smooth gaming experience.

As for the configuration, the smartphone is being offered in two RAM and storage variants. The base model has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage, while the higher-end variant has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. The device also has up to 5GB of additional virtual RAM expansion features, taking the total amount of RAM up to 13GB.

Realme 9 4G camera and battery features

Finally coming to the cameras, the Realme 9 4G has a triple primary camera setup at the rear. There’s a massive 108MP ISOCELL HM6 primary sensor from Samsung. The main camera lens is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter that has a field of view of 119-degree. Lastly, there’s one more 2MP snapper on the back for macro photography. For selfies and video calling purposes, you get a 16MP shooter on the front, which is placed on the top-left corner of the screen. Lastly, a 5,000mAh battery with massive 33W fast charging support completes the list of the specifications of the smartphone.

Realme 9 4G price in India and availability

Coming to the pricing, the Realme 9 4G’s base model with 6GB of RAM is priced at Rs 17,999, while the higher-end variant with 8GB of RAM will set you back by Rs 18,999. The smartphone will be available in Sunburst Gold, Stargaze White, and Meteor Black color variants.

The handset will be available to purchase from the brand’s website, e-commerce portal Flipkart, and via major brick and mortar stores across the country from April 12th. Notably, as part of the first sale, the Realme 9 4G 6GB version will cost Rs 15,999 and the model with 8GB of RAM will sell for Rs 16,999.
