As we just discovered a Twitter post by Elon Musk, the American tech giant, Tesla, has set to begin the Cyber Rodeo event at Giga Texas.

The CEO of Tesla tweeted earlier this morning, implying “preparing” with several images from the Gigafactory Texas in Austin.

The Cyber Rodeo event is designated to mark the beginning of production of Tesla’s new Model Y, Model 3, Tesla Semi, and iconic Cybertruck at the new factory, Gigafactory.

Last month, the American electric tech giant secured permission to host the grand opening of the Gigafactory today, Thursday, April 7, at Harold Green Road, Austin.

The Cyber Rodeo event is expected to feature 15,000 people. According to data from the Austin Chamber of Commerce, Tesla plans to hire 5,000 individuals with a starting pay of $35,000, plus employment opportunities in partnership with educational institutions in the area.

The new factory is a $1.1 billion complex with a 4.3 million square feet floor area. The Gigafactory is designed to help increase yearly vehicle manufacturing to 500,000 units.

Apart from marking the beginning of production of Tesla’s new Model Y, Model 3, Tesla Semi, and the iconic Cybertruck, the tech giant is expected to give an update on battery cell production at the Gigafactory, which is going to be critical to enabling the production ramp-up.

Since the introduction of the Cybertruck in 2019, the Cybertruck has undergone some significant upgrades. Some leaked images early this year revealed that there was no real door handles on the upgraded prototype, only a refined version of the side mirrors and a single windshield wiper.

Then, Elon Musk noted that the company had added a lot of new technologies to the Cybertruck and foresaw that the pickup would be ready for production by 2023 but that Tesla would still need to work on some of the Cybertruck’s new technology.
