While players might be feeling dejected about the Genshin Impact 2.7 Update getting delayed, there is good news as there will be a third phase of the 2.6 updates with a horde of new content. This is the first time that the developers are releasing three phases for an update in Genshin Impact.
Following the notice for the infinite postponement of the next update, players have been wondering if there will be new events or banners when the second phase of the 2.6 update is over, but Hoyoverse has announced their preparations for a brand new third phase, which will come before the 2.7 update that contains the playable characters Yelan and Kuki Shinobu.

Third Phase of Genshin Impact 2.6 Update Has Been Officially Announced
The update of “Zephyr of the Violet Garden” has already had two phases, which is the standard amount for all updates in Genshin Impact so far. In the third phase that will follow from May 19, players will have the chance to get more characters as well as participate in events that they might have missed.
Banner Character Wish
Ayaka will be returning as a Cryo character on the banner without an end date confirmed, which means that her banner will be available until the conclusion of the event. Travelers can wish for her 5-star character to be playable as well as other 4-star characters such as Rosaria, Sayu and Razor.
Character Trial
