Microsoft has developed a new controller design that anybody can obtain and even further configure via the Xbox Design Lab as a part of the Pride month celebration. According to a blog post, Microsoft’s constrained quantity of Pride controllers was warmly welcomed in 2021, although fans expect them to be more readily accessible. The controller is themed on Pride, which contains 34 communal flags intertwined and will be accessible commencing June 9.

Pride is a participatory organization started by and for LGBTQIA+ staff across the world. It is an obligation to strive toward more LGBTQIA+ visibility, fairness, and equality, and the aim is to encourage each individual and organization. Microsoft will also donate $170,000 to the LGBTQIA+ community and release a few Pride-themed gears during this month.

Last year, the controller received a lot of excellent feedback, and many people urged us to make it broadly accessible. Now, the team is broadening accessibility by offering this year’s Pride controller customizable with Xbox Design Lab, emphasizing the singularity of the LGBTQIA+ perspective.

The Pride Controller upper casing pattern weaves 34 community flags with each other in a beautiful, interlaced pattern to honor the diversity, intricacy, intersectionality, and power of the numerous LGBTQIA+ groups. All other sections of the controller may be customized with a wide range of colors, exotic finishes, rubbery gripping, and even personalization to design the Pride controller really special.

This isn’t just a controller, though. It’s a respect to the LGBTQIA+ societies who captivated it, as well as a reminder to keep working for acceptance and visibility in all gaming environments. So, in an immersive narrative experience, we’re bringing together hundreds of LGBTQIA+ gamers, developers, content producers, and Microsoft workers. – Kate Rayner, the Vice president of the Xbox team stated
