In recent times, the mid-range smartphone line under Xiaomi, POCO has been releasing some impressive smartphones in the mobile industry. The smartphone brand has made itself stand out among its competitors with the release of different brand series.

When it comes to user favorites, the F and X series are in the front row. Likewise, the M series can never be neglected. However, as we just discovered via its official global Twitter handle @POCOGlobal a new POCO C series is on the way – the POCO C40.

Although the smartphone brand had earlier released some C series, the POCO C40 is going to be tremendous as confirmed by the brand.

According to the smartphone giant, the new POCO C40 will be officially rolled out by June 16th. The most amazing aspect is that the launch event is going to be an online one, featuring global. Therefore, whether you are in Asia, Europe or Africa you will be able to watch the event live.

Earlier Rumored on POCO C40

Recently, the new POCO C40, with the model number C3QP, was discovered on FCC. The smartphone was previously assumed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi 10C (C3Q) due to the model number’s similarity to the Redmi 10C (C3Q). But things aren’t quite as straightforward this time.

In another leak, according to XDA Senior Member kacskrz, the POCO C40 will not use the same Snapdragon 680 chipset as the Redmi 10C, and neither will it adopt anything from MediaTek. Instead, it will be powered by an entry-level chipset called JR510, found in several phones from a lesser-known brand called Treswave. A GeekBench entry for a device codenamed “frost” adds to the evidence.

Expected POCO C40 Specifications

The new smartphone is projected to be 169.6 x 76.6 x 9.1 mm in size and 203 grams in weight. The phone comes in 3 GB, 4 GB, and 6 GB of RAM, as well as 32 GB and 64 GB of internal storage.

The Qualcomm SM6225 Snapdragon 680 4G Octa-core processor and Adreno 610 GPU will power the smartphone. While it will carry a 6.7-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 720 x 1650 pixels display.

In addition, a non-removable Li-Po 6000 mAh battery is included, as well as fast charging (18W). USB Type-C 2.0 and USB On-The-Go are also included. The dual-camera setup on the back includes a 50 MP + 2 MP sensor, as well as LED flash, HDR, and panoramic comes with the phone, with a single 5 MP camera on the front.

A fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, and proximity sensor are all located on the back of the phone. Midnight Black, Pacific Blue, and Caribbean Green are some of the colors available. The smartphone is powered by Android 11 and MIUI 13.

Unfortunately, as the smartphone brand confirms the officially rolling out of the new POCO C40 to be June 16th, it has not yet revealed the launching price. Therefore, stay connected with TechGenyz for more updates on the upcoming smartphone.
