As we reported last week, the mid-range smartphone line under Xiaomi, POCO, confirmed that a new POCO C series – the POCO C40 will be officially rolled out come June 16th on the global market. The smartphone had been spotted on the FCC website earlier, with the model number C3QP before the brand later confirmed the launch date via its Twitter page.

However, as we just discovered via a Twitter post from the popular reliable leaker @stufflistings, the smartphone giant is about to unveil a new POCO series – the POCO F4 in the Indian market soon. According to the leaker, the new smartphone is coming to the Indian market in PM time, but no official date has been confirmed yet.

The device received its global online launch in late April this year. Since then, Europeans and some parts of Asia have been purchasing mobile. The device is a rebadge of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition and launched in two POCO F4 and POCO F4 Pro series.

POCO F4 Specifications

As to the earlier reports, the smartphone comes with a display of 6.67in, FHD+, 120Hz AMOLED with high frequency 1920Hz PWM dimming, HDR10+, and a typical brightness of 800 nits. Two variants of 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage are sported in the device.

For users to enjoy a top-tier performance, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship chipset and is kept cool by LiquidCool Technology 3.0, with dual vapor chambers. This makes it a good phone for gaming, which is aided by the presence of magnetic pop-up shoulder trigger buttons, which can also be used as shortcuts for the camera, flashlight, or other apps.

In terms of cameras, there’s a triple array on the back. The main camera uses the 64Mp Sony IMX686 sensor, with an aperture of f/1.9 lens. This is joined by an 8Mp, f/2.2 ultrawide, and a 2Mp, f/2.4 macro lens. On the front, there’s a single 20Mp, f/2.4 selfie camera in a central punch-hole.

Additionally, the smartphone runs Android 12 of Xiaomi’s MIUI 13 skin on top. A hefty 4700mAh battery capacity comes with the device backed up by speedy 120W wired fast charging. Given the leaks, the new device is expected to arrive soon in the Indian market. Thus, stay connected with TechGenyz for more latest tech updates.
