Oppo Reno 8 series is all set to make its debut in the Indian market soon. The series was launched in China a few days ago, and it consisted of three months – Oppo Reno 8, Oppo Reno 8 Pro, and Oppo Reno 8 Pro Plus. Speculations are that the series will be launched in India with some considerable changes.
Amidst all this, the Oppo Reno 8 is going to get a new color variant in China. The Iris Purple color variant of the smartphone is available for pre-orders in China, and it will be on sale starting from July 2.
Previously, the device was available in three color options – Night Black, Slightly Drunk, and Clear Sky Blue. There is no word regarding the launch of the latest color variant in the Indian market. In addition, the Pro variant will also get the Purple Iris variant in China.
Oppo Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro expected specifications
As the devices have already made it to the Chinese market, we know what we can get to see in terms of specifications and features. The Oppo Reno 8 features a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display coupled with a 90Hz refresh rate. It packs 12GB LPDDR4x RAM along with GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device is powered by a MediaTek Diemsnity 1300 processor.
In terms of optics, the smartphone flaunts a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary shooter, 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP b&w shooter. On the front, the smartphone rocks a 32MP primary sensor for capturing selfies and attending video calls. It draws power from a 4500mAh battery that has 80W fast charging support.
As for the Pro variant, it has a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED display complemented with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor with 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage.
Both the Pro variant and the base variant have similar selfie snapper. However, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro includes a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary snapper, 8MP wide-angle snapper, and a 2MP macro sensor. The charging capacity and battery of the device are similar to that of the vanilla variant.
