As scheduled, the Chinese smartphone giant, Nubia has officially unveiled the new Red Magic 7S series today in China. The new smartphone comes in two series Red Magic 7S and Red Magic 7S Pro.
The newly launched gaming handsets have terrific spec sheets full of high-end hardware. Now, let’s take a tour of the specs and pricing of the new gaming smartphones.
Red Magic 7S Specifications
The Red Magic 7S comes with a 6.8-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display that supports LTM and DC dimming. It has a 165hz refresh rate, which is higher than the Pro model. The device is equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, as well as up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The mobile brand equipped the ICE 9.0 liquid-cooling technology to keep the phone cool during heavy gaming. Furthermore, the device includes an integrated fan that can circulate air at speeds of up to 20,000RPM. The smartphone also has a Magic GPU stable frame engine, which supports rendering and imaging synchronization, a five-fold rendering buffer, and intelligent recognition of TC supplementary frames.
Meanwhile, the device has a triple rear camera setup that includes a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, as well as an LED flash. The handset has an 8MP under-display camera sensor for selfies and video calls on the front. The gaming phone is powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. In terms of software, the Red Magic 7S runs Red Magic 5.0, which is based on Android 12.
Red Magic 7S Pro Specifications
On the other hand, the Red Magic 7S Pro is a higher-end model, with similar features to the Standard model. The device features the same 6.8-inch AMOLED display, but with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is used in the 7S Pro, but it also has the company’s proprietary Red Core 1, which is a dedicated gaming chipset for improving device performance. The smartphone includes a cutting-edge Ice 10.0 cooling system.
The smartphone has the same rear camera sensors as the standard variant, but it has an upgraded 16-megapixel selfie camera. The Nubia Red Magic 7S Pro is powered by a larger 5,000mAh battery and supports 135W fast charging. It comes standard with a 165W gallium nitride charging head. The smartphone is powered by Red Magic 5.0, which is based on Android 12.
Moreover, the Red Magic 7S Pro is also available in a transformer edition model. The special edition model will be inspired by transformers. It will match Bumblebee’s iconic appearance. Furthermore, the device will be packaged in a hexagonal-shaped retail box with a Bumblebee-inspired external cooler, a protective cover, and a few other accessories.
Launched Price and Availability
The duo smartphones will be available in two colors: Dark Knight and Deuterium Front Transparent. The Pro model will also be available in a Bumble edition with the iconic yellow color. The Red Magic 7 is priced at $3,999 (approximately $596) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. While the 12GB RAM +256GB storage variants will cost $4799 (approximately $715), The Deuterium front transparent model with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage costs $4899 (approximately $730), while the 16GB + 512GB storage model costs $5499 ($819).
In addition, the Red Magic 7S Pro will be priced at $775 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Pro model costs $894 and includes 16GB RAM + 512GB storage. Furthermore, the Deuterium one costs $790 for a 12GB + 256GB storage variant. It is also available in a 16GB+512GB storage variant for $894.
