The Chinese multinational technology company, HUAWEI, has officially teased the new FreeBuds Pro 2 via its official Weibo account. Previously, the firm had released a Hi-Res Wireless Audio jointly developed by the China Electronic Audio Industry Association and China Electronics Technology Standardization Institute in overseas markets.

However, according to the tech giant, the new FreeBuds Pro 2 headset is the world’s first TWS earphone with HWA HD wireless audio standard evaluation and certification, leading to the listening quality of the wireless audio era. It will be officially released on July 27.

Specifications

The new Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 headset weighs 5.9 grams less than its predecessor. The new FreeBuds Pro 2 features three microphones and an 11mm unit with a frequency response range of 14 Hz to 40 kHz, as well as Bluetooth 5.2 and decoding for LDAC, AAC, and SBC.

Furthermore, the new Freebuds Pro 2 can detect ambient noises and cancel them out while on a call, just like other earbuds. Huawei improved this by developing a new deep neural network technique that learns and adjusts over time. As a result of the collaboration with Devialet, the earbuds should sound fantastic.

The noise-canceling headset has three noise-canceling modes: normal, comfort, and super, as well as an outdoor awareness mode. It can also reduce noise by up to 47 decibels.

Besides, the headphones have four hours of noise-canceling playback time and 6.5 hours of non-noise-canceling playback time, as well as a charging case with up to 30 hours of playback time. Additionally, the earbuds are IP54 certified for water and dust resistance, which their predecessors were not.

Launch Price and Availability

The new Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 is officially rolled out in the Chinese market for $200, about 1,400 yuan, and comes in silver, ceramic white, and new silver-blue colors.

The headset will be available in the Chinese market on 27th July alongside the HUAWEI Watch 3 Pro ECG Version, Smart Screen S Pro 86, the new MateBook X Pro, MatePad Pro 11, and Huawei Enjoy 50 Pro. Follow TechGenyz for more updates.
