The text “The Lich King Returns September 26, 2022” appeared on the picture, which was announcing the upcoming classic.
According to Wowhead, developers updated the game’s official website by mistake last night, adding an image that indicated the release date is scheduled for September 26. Since then, the image has been deleted by Blizzard. Although the picture was removed fairly fast, it remained there long enough for some alert community members to identify it. The information will arrive far sooner than what fans had anticipated if the rumored date is accurate.
