Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series and Buds 2 Pro leaks ahead of the August 10 Galaxy Unpacked event

August 10th, has been officially scheduled for the Galaxy Unpacked event for the introduction of several new products by Samsung. Devices like the newest Galaxy smartwatches, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and the next-generation foldable smartphones are all anticipated at the event.

However, ahead of the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event next week, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series battery capacity and the color options of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro has been rendered online. Let’s take a tour of some of the renders and specifications of the devices.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Lineup

Given the leak, there are three variants of the Samsung Galaxy Watch lineup, which is perhaps the most popular smartwatch series outside of the Apple Watch. The Watch 5 Pro will be available in a 45mm size, whereas the Galaxy Watch 5 will be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes. The Pro model differs significantly from the normal model in that it has a titanium chassis, a larger display, and a larger battery.

Specs 

The Galaxy Watch 5 will feature a 1.19-inch AMOLED display that offers a 396 x 396 pixels resolution. The Watch 5 Pro, on the other hand, will have a larger 1.36-inch AMOLED screen with a 450 x 450-pixel resolution. The displays of both versions will be shielded by a sapphire glass covering.

A 284mAh battery will be included with the 40mm model, while a 410mAh battery will be included with the 44mm model. A 550mAh battery, which can operate the Watch 5 Pro for up to 80 hours on a single charge, will be included. Up to 10W of wireless charging will be supported by the Watch 5 series.

The Galaxy Watch 5 series will be powered by the same Exynos W920 chip that powers the Galaxy Watch 4 lineup. The range will have storage options up to 16 GB. The Watch 5 series’ LTE versions will support e-SIM. NFC, GPS, a heart-rate sensor, a blood oxygen saturation tracker, and an ECG are additional features included with the Watch 5 series.

The Watch 5 has a 9.8mm thickness. It weighs 28.7 grams for the 40mm and 33.5 grams for the 44mm versions, respectively. The Watch 5 Pro weighs 46.9 grams and has a thickness of 10.5mm.

Pricing 

As per reports, the 40mm and 40mm Galaxy Watch 5 variations’ Bluetooth-only versions will cost 299 euros and 329 euros, respectively. While the Bluetooth-only Watch 5 Pro is expected to cost 469 euros, the LTE versions of the Watch 5 series will cost between 40 and 45 euros or more.

The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro

As per the leak, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro looks quite similar to the Galaxy Buds Pro that launched last year and the renders reveal three color options grey color option called Zenith Grey.

Specs

The earbuds will feature 10mm drivers. The earbuds will also come equipped with multiple microphones for optimal voice pickup and noise cancellation. The earbuds are expected to bring features like Intelligent Active Noise Cancellation and 360-degree audio for a more immersive experience in supported apps and HD voice pickup for clearer calls.

For connectivity, the earbuds will use Bluetooth 5.3 and will offer IPX7 water resistance which covers water submersion up to 1m heights for half an hour. It is also said to provide excellent battery life with 8 hours of playback time on a single charge and a total battery life of 29 hours when combined with the changing case. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will offer USB Type-C charging as well as wireless charging.

Pricing and Availability 

As scheduled, if the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro finds its way to the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, the earbud is expected to be available for sales immediately and will cost €229 in Europe with similar prices in other regions.
