The American multinational semiconductor company, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), has revealed that it has fixed August 30, 2022, to officially announced the new Ryzen 7000 in Taiwan. The firm disclosed this today in an official press release.
According to the firm, it will hold the “Together We Advance_PCs” online conference at 7:00 am Taiwan time on August 30 to announce the new Ryzen 7000 series processors. Su Zifeng, chairman and CEO, CTO Mark Papermaster, executive vice president, and other senior executives will go through the current “Zen 4” architecture in depth, provide insight into the next AMD Ryzen processor, and discuss the most recent advancements in DDR5 and PCIe5. Meanwhile, information indicates that the upcoming generation of TSMC 5nm Ryzen 7000 series CPUs is based on the Zen4 architecture. The I/O die uses a 6nm manufacturing process and is compatible with PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 memory.
Nonetheless, it is asserted that the LGA package will be expanded to 1,718 Pin with the new Socket AM5 platform of AMD Ryzen 7000 processor, allowing the processor pins to be designed on the motherboard rather than the CPU. According to a report by market research company Mercury Research, the second quarter saw the greatest annual reduction in global desktop computer CPU shipments since 1994 as a result of falling market demand and inventory adjustments.
