Back in August 2021, the electric-car giant Tesla introduced the first Artificial Intelligence, Tesla AI Day. The program was initiated purposely to convince outstanding AI, software, and chip talent around the world to join the world’s largest EV company, Tesla.

As we witnessed on August 19th last year, the tech initiative exhibition is extraordinary, featuring discussion about the future of battery technology, AI in self-driven cars, and other innovations. However, as we just discovered, the EV giant has a fixed date for the second Tesla’s AI (artificial intelligence) Day.

Tesla has fixed September 30th, 2022, for its next AI Day, as confirmed via its official Twitter page. Previously, the event had been earlier scheduled for August 19th, 2022 but was postponed due to some undisclosed reasons. But the new official date has been confirmed.

Elon Musk Confirmation

Similarly, Tesla’s Chief Executive Officer, Elon Musk, was reported by Reuters to have said on Thursday that Tesla’s AI Day has now been pushed to September 30.

“Tesla AI Day pushed to Sept 30, as we may have an Optimus prototype working by then,” Musk said, “Optimus could eventually address global shortages of labour, and in the short term might be able to carry items around a factory.”

Event Focus

Accordingly, as per reports, this year, Artificial Intelligence Day is expected to feature a discussion on how the company is likely to expand its plans on fine-tuning its self-driving technology, use of AI in self-driven cars, as well as Tesla’s growing software development for its cars to drive without human intervention or oversight.

In addition, investors and analysts closely watch tech-focused events where companies dive deeper into their projects and usually provide concrete updates on targets and timelines of rollouts; therefore, Tesla’s AI Day will not be an exception.
