In a bid to enhance users’ experience on its platform, the American instant messaging service, WhatsApp is rolling out new updates that fix bugs in the camera shortcut. The new update was released today through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 126.96.36.199 and addressing issues with the camera shortcut.
The social media service decided to release the new camera shortcut to let its users quickly open the camera when the camera tab is not available, after releasing the WhatsApp beta for Android 188.8.131.52, which intends to add the privacy section to the main settings screen, for a future update.
For years now, the platform has been known for its dedication to ensuring user convenience by introducing user-friendly features to improve their experience. In fact, the social media giant is replacing the camera tab with the communities tab when the feature that lets users create a community is available. Unfortunately, something went wrong and the camera shortcut is also visible to those people that still have the camera tab.
Initially, it was expected that WhatsApp will remove the new camera shortcut only for those users that can access it by using the camera tab but it has also been removed for those lucky beta testers that can create a community. The fix is now rolling out for this update so be sure to update to this version if you see the camera shortcut and the camera tab
Therefore, with the latest 184.108.40.206 beta update, no further details were found in this version since it is a bug-fix update that exactly addresses this issue. Thus, to enjoy the new exciting feature quickly go and install the new WhatsApp beta for Android 220.127.116.11 update. Follow TechGenyz for more updates.
