Last year, the Chinese consumer electronics company, OnePlus introduced two smartwatches to the Indian market, the OnePlus Watch and the OnePlus Band. However, it seems the brand is about to unveil a new smartwatch in the same market as it just confirmed is coming.

As we discovered via a leak from the popular, reliable leaker, the company today shared a teaser image. It confirmed the launch of the upcoming OnePlus Nord Watch in India soon.

According to the company, the upcoming Nord smartwatch will feature a heart-rate monitor, sleep tracking, and blood oxygen monitor. Also, the Nord series is a kind of sub-segment within the brand and focuses on budget offerings of the premium flagship OnePlus devices.

OnePlus Nord Watch Specs

As confirmed by the company, the new OnePlus Nord Watch is expected to be equipped with a 1.39-inch 2.5D curved AMOLED display, 402mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of onboard storage, Gyroscope sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, Optical heart rate, and blood oxygen sensor, among other features.

The smartwatch weighs 45 grams and has 4GB of internal storage (without the strap). It includes a built-in GPS and supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. It measures 46.4×46.4×10.9mm, has over 110 fitness options, and includes a speaker and microphone.

Pricing and Launch Date 

Recall that the earlier OnePlus smartwatch was launched for Rs 12,000 and Rs 14,000 bracket, depending on the offers. However, this upcoming Nord smartwatch from OnePlus is expected to be priced below Rs 15,000 in India.

The brand did not specify a specific date for the launch date yet. But the market expectation shows that the new OnePlus smartwatch will be launched in the first week of October next month.

OnePlus’s Reaction 

Confirming the new OnePlus Nord Watch coming to the Indian market, the company said the new smartwatch would strengthen OnePlus Nord’s position in the wearables market and intends to increase the audience for the company’s renowned technologies.

“The OnePlus  Nord Watch will bolster OnePlus Nord’s hold within the wearables segment and aims to make the signature OnePlus technology accessible to a wider set of audience. 

Prior to the OnePlus Nord Watch, Nord also entered into the entry-level hearable segment with the launch of the OnePlus Nord Buds, Nord Buds CE, and Nord wired earphones.” the company said.
