Confirmed: Moto G72 is Launching Globally First In India On October 3rd

As we just discovered in a tweet from the popular, reliable leaker, the official launch date of the long-anticipated Moto G72 smartphone has been confirmed. According to the leaker, the upcoming device is launching globally first in India on 3rd October.

The new Moto G72 is the successor of the Moto G71 that debuted this year. According to the leaker, the device will come with India’s first in segment Billion Colour 10-bit 120Hz, OLED Display with Fingerprint on Display. At the same time, a 108 MP Ultra pixel camera and stereo speakers will back the device.

The new Moto G72 smartphone sports a small form factor with a punch-hole cutout in the center. Three sensors are housed in a square camera module on the back panel. It will also have some form of water protection.

A closer inspection reveals a 108MP text that attests to the sensor’s existence on the gadget. It is also revealed that the future model would include an in-display fingerprint scanner. At the bottom is a speaker grille, a 3.5mm headphone connector, and a USB-C port.

Moto G72 Specs

The Moto G72 is rumored to come with a 6.5-inch AMOLED display and is tipped to feature 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth lenses on the back and a 16MP selfie snapper. However, for the internal aspects, the processor on the upcoming offering is yet to be confirmed, but likely to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor.

Meanwhile, the smartphone is reportedly backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. For the RAM and storage, the device is expected to come with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Likewise, Android 12 out of the box will likely run the device instead of the Android 13 operating system.

Launch Date, Pricing, and Availability

According to the leaker, the new Moto G72 smartphone with India’s first in segment Billion Color is confirmed to be officially launching globally first in India on 3rd October. 

As it stands now, the pricing of the upcoming device is yet to be revealed. However, given the earlier rumors, the new Moto G72 is expected to be priced at Rs. 14,990 in India. At the same time, the upcoming smartphone is expected to come in three colors: Blue, Silver, and Black. Follow TechGenyz for more updates.
