Ubisoft is currently working on a new co-op shooter video game that will eventually be launched on PCs, and other platforms under the codename Project U. Although the game’s makers haven’t made an official announcement, Project U leaked video revealed several game-related details that have begun making their way online.

The leaked Ubisoft Project U video shows a few moments of the gameplay

Project U video has been leaked by Reddit user just4leaks2 and includes audio and video of the game’s creators discussing it in addition to brief gameplay clips. The leaked information suggests that project U would take a co-op path, not the battle royale one that fans had predicted.

The video is a kind of introductory trailer. A few extremely brief gameplay snippets are seen in the Project U leaked video, along with producer Karl Luhe and creative director Damien Kieken giving an overview of the game. They stated,” U stands for Unite, as you will quickly discover. If you want to assert yourself in the game, you have to team up with others.”

Starting off, it looks like the game features players fighting swarms of robotic adversaries, perhaps using a range of weapons and talents from different characters in addition to weapons. Project U offers cartoonish visuals, playable heroes, and boss battles and has reportedly been in work for several years.

The developers also stated that they are attempting to overcome the co-op shooting genre in a different way. After each game in the playtest session, pop-up prompts will be used to collect input from all of the participants. Furthermore, an email survey will be conducted to gather responses from all of the participants.

Regarding the gameplay, several people have observed parallels to Project Pathfinder, a former project that Tom Henderson reported previously. Though, players should note that the gameplay snippets in the leaked video are taken from the project’s pre-alpha stage and will likely get better over time.
