The iPhone maker Apple is popularly known for filing several patents that would never go to make showroom listings.

Even though many aren’t mentioned, some will make it into the final yield. On the costly list, Apple is gearing up to add yet another patent to skite itself in the market.

There has been speculation that Apple has been meticulously working on VR headsets in the market, but the official announcement hasn’t yet been seen anywhere. While the VR headset preamble hasn’t yet closed to start the first chapter, it has been reported that Apple is fueling its vehicles, not electric cars, to get a patent involving a pair of VR gloves. It could be a bombshell for fans who haven’t gotten a glimpse of VR headsets; even some think all the speculation would go under the rock to be exhibited in the museum as an unheard device from Apple.

Apple VR gloves patent filing was authorized, and the device may feature multiple motion sensors. Apple’s patent for “IMU-based gloves” was approved, with the authorization announcement number CN109582125B. Qichacha’s patent summary shows that Apple’s IMU-based glove” patent utterly refers to a VR glove that can calculate the movement of individual forefingers and thumb bones.

The VR glove may include a segment of inertial measurement units to follow the direction of one or more finger segments or hand segments. Apple VR gloves do not jest; it has more features to offer, the IMU can include one or more motion sensors, including gyroscopes and accelerometers, and the IMU can be placed adjacent to a finger or a thumb bone. It can calculate the inertial motion of the corresponding bone. Astonishingly, the VR glove also features a magnetometer to determine the direction of the Earth’s magnetic field.
