Private Division and Intercept Games just announced the Kerbal Space Program 2 early access release date, commencing on February 24, 2023. Kerbal Space Program 2, like the previous installment, will be available for early access before going on sale.

Kerbal Space Program 2 early access release date announced

With many delays that pushed back the game’s release date, the game will finally come out next year, which would be roughly three years after it was originally planned. Originally scheduled for release in 2020, COVID-19 caused delays that caused the game to be delayed twice, first to 2022 and then to 2023.

A trailer showcasing remarks from the game’s creators describing the development of this early access version has also been made available.

Expected gameplay

The gameplay of Kerbal Space Program 2 will be comparable to its first part which is based on launching tiny aliens known as Kerbals into space. Most frequently, a catastrophic fault will lead your spaceship to veer wildly or plunge down to the earth upside-down and on fire. Ideally, this won’t blast them into thousands of tiny pieces that then orbit the species’ home world of Kerbolar.

Players will be able to explore a wide variety of content when Kerbal Space Program 2 launches in Early Access, comprising dozens of new and upgraded components to construct a wide range of vehicles and rockets, a time warp under acceleration for better long-distance flights

Kerbal Space Program 2 new features

Next-gen technologies: Players will be able to employ new fuels or propulsion systems and build on greater scales after unlocking future technologies. Through the use of these tools, users will be able to explore uncharted star systems beyond the original Kerbolar System’s bounds.

Colonies: Players will be able to find and extract precious resources, then utilize those materials to create unique bases on far-off celestial worlds or in deep space. This is a much-desired and sought feature for the sequel. Colonies must first have models for vehicle assembly, power generation, and human housing before players may utilize it as a low-gravity launch complex for longer adventures.

Interstellar Travel: Players in KSP2 must navigate across space, which is going to be a difficult task. They must go over the chasm of interstellar space on mega-ships fueled by fusion, which can travel at extraordinary speeds. They will be able to launch rovers and landers to investigate the undiscovered worlds once they reach new star systems.

Multiplayer: In order to explore space together and set new records in their own space race, players will be able to work cooperatively as well as competitively with friends. The unlimited possibilities for adventures, perfectionists, and “unexpected” automobile wrecks are made possible by multiplayer.

Kerbal Space Program 2 will be released for PC in Early Access on February 24, 2023 on Steam, Epic Game Store, and other marketplaces.
