Electronic Arts and Marvel have officially announced a multi-game partnership. EA will launch at least three new action-adventure Marvel games for PC and consoles. Every game will have a unique plot based on the Marvel universe.
EA is working on new Marvel games for PC and consoles
It was announced that a new Marvel game “Iron Man” is still in its early stages of development, therefore its release is not likely to happen for years. The Iron Man video game aims to portray the intricacy, charm, and creative brilliance of Tony Stark and provide gamers the experience of really playing as Iron Man.
The Motive team has begun work on the Iron Man game, according to a statement from Marvel Games executive vice president Jay Ong, and “we can’t wait for gamers to discover more in the far future.” Fans may have to wait a bit before hearing any specific information about the new Marvel games.
There is presently no word on the names of the two more games. Only two additional elements have been revealed: that every game is being created for consoles and PC and that each one will center on a unique story based on the Marvel world.
An open-world game called Black Panther could be the second game on the list, is reportedly being developed by a recently formed EA studio in Seattle
With the Marvel collaboration, EA intends to expand its products beyond sports and typical shooter games. Chief Operating Officer Laura Miele in the press release stated,” We look forward to welcoming Marvel into the EA family of creators and know this collaboration will produce exceptional experiences for our players. We can’t wait to see players’ reactions when they suit up as Iron Man and do the extraordinary things this Super Hero is known for.”
It would be great news for Marvel fans who enjoy playing superhero video games. Though, the release of new Marvel games will take several years.
