The release date of Assassin’s Creed Mirage has reportedly been postponed until August 2023.

This year, Assassin’s Creed’s existence was formally announced by Ubisoft, with Mirage serving as the franchise’s first game. Though Assassin’s Creed Mirage hasn’t been given a clear release date, a new source suggests that it will be released in August 2023.

Although Ubisoft has only officially said that Mirage would be launched next year, leaks claim that the new Asssin’s game was originally intended to premiere early in the year. However, after experiencing two internal issues, would now instead be released in August 2023.

The RPG Assassin’s Creed Red is also mentioned in the Insider Gaming article as having development issues that may push back the Assassin’s Creed Mirage goal release date from 2024 to 2025. In contrast, pre-production on Hexe is said to be proceeding quite well and is scheduled for release in 2026.

The wait for the new game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, could be the most agonizing for fans, and it may take longer than the initially planned release date. Fans are anxiously anticipating information on various Assassin’s Creed games in development. Nearly three years have passed since the release of Valhalla, a considerably longer time between installments of the Assassin’s Creed franchise than fans are used to.

The only information provided about the launch is that it will be available in 2023 on the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, EPIC, PC, and Amazon Luna. However, the good part of this leak is that, even if it hasn’t been officially announced, it could provide Assassin’s Creed Mirage fans with some reasonable release date expectations.

The reasons for the game’s internal delays were not revealed by Insider Gaming’s sources, but Insider Gaming speculates that they may have been caused by hardware constraints and the continuous development of different platforms and generations. Yet, we will have to wait till Ubisoft makes an official announcement.
