A new map rotation for Valorant from Riot Games will offer several upgrades as 2023 comes to a close. In the next Valorant 6.0 patch, Split will once again be available to play, albeit at the expense of Breeze and Bind.

The split map was removed from the Valorant at the beginning of 2022, but with patch 6.0 and improvements to the ranking pool in January 2023, it is finally making a comeback. Split is one of the fan-favorite maps. It was briefly taken down for a number of reasons, chief among which being Riot Games’ choice to always have a 7-map pool available for different game modes.

Beginning with Patch 6.0, the next map rotation is scheduled to start in early January 2023. In addition, Split will return with a few tweaks that may drastically alter the game’s meta. Bind and Breeze will thereafter be replaced by it in the map pool. When the Valorant 6.0 patch notes become available, they will provide information on these changes to Split.

Bind, Haven, and Split were the three maps that came with Valorant when it was initially released. However, they have added a few stunning new settings for gamers to battle it out throughout over time. Some of the old maps have undergone modifications as new ones have been added to the rotation.

Looking back to the prior Riot trends, deleted maps do not disappear entirely from the game; instead, they ultimately reappear. Contrarily, it will be exciting to see how Riot handles the change from having one to two sides maps.

Riot Games also gave an explanation for why Bind was taken out of the pool in the Valorant 6.0 patch. Strategic diversity was suggested as being important. The creators want to modify and open up the teleporters so that they might perhaps rethink how teams use the map to execute strategy and defend both locations.
