Elden Ring has won the prestigious Game of the Year award at The Game Awards 2022. Elden Ring and God of War: Ragnarok were considered to be the front-runners, despite the fact that this year’s nominations included a number of incredibly well-known titles.

Hidetaka Miyazaki, the director of Elden Ring, showed up on stage to collect the Game of the Year 2022 award. Miyazaki expressed appreciation to From Software, the creators of Elden Ring, and also the writer George R.R. Martin. Along with thanking the audience for their cooperation, Miyazaki hinted that there might be more Elden Ring content and other plans from From Software in the coming years.

Elden Ring is really innovative in terms of combat and adventure, and it has reasonably won the Game of the Year 2022 award. It was obvious that the competition would be between God of War Ragnarok and the 2018 Game of the Year winner because it was one of the most anticipated games of this year. As stated by the director, fans can now anticipate more fresh content in the game.
