Not too long ago, we saw the Chinese smartphone maker iQOO launch two smartphones under the Neo 7 series in its domestic market. The iQOO Neo 7 lineup comprises the iQOO Neo 7 and the iQOO Neo 7 SE devices, which are available in the Chinese mobile market.

Shortly after the official launch of the two iQOO Neo 7 lineups, rumors claimed that the mobile brand was developing another model for the iQOO Neo 7 series named the iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition. A few days after the rumors, iQOO took to Weibo to confirm December 29th as the launch date of the upcoming Neo 7 new series.

Now, as we just discovered in a tweet from the popular reliable, iQOO is preparing for the official launch of the new iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition model in China today. As per reports, the official launch event is expected to commence at 7 pm (local time) on December 29 in China.

iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition Stands Unique with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Chip

As we saw in the iQOO Neo 7 lineup earlier released, the Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset powered the iQOO Neo 7, whereas the Neo 7 SE includes the Dimensity 8200 mobile platform under the hood. However, for the iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition to stand unique among other lineups, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.

iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition Full Specs

According to the TENAA listing, the iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition has a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels) and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU, which is expected to be supported by up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage, powered the device.

For optics, the device houses a triple rear camera setup, including a 50 MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and another 2MP unit. iQoo Neo 7 Racing Edition is also rumored to feature a 16MP front-facing shooter for selfies and video calls.

The device packs a 5000mAh dual-cell battery unit that will likely support 120W fast charging and is expected to boot the OriginOS 3 UI based on Android 13 OS. In addition, the iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition smartphone is said to include an IR blaster, an in-screen fingerprint reader, and a 5G connection.

iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition Pricing

Since the new iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition model is a family member of the earlier Neo 7 lineup, therefore we expect to see a similar pricing range. Going by our market survey, the new lineup is expected to price at the range of ₹49,990 in the Indian market.
