As the world begins to witness another edition of the most influential tech event – the CES. The new leak has revealed the images of the upcoming HTC Vive headset. CES is an avenue where the world’s biggest brands do business and meet new partners for breaking through technologies and global innovators. This year’s event begins today in Las Vegas.

Previously, the HTC VIVE headset was reported to be in January at CES 2023 with a price range of less than $1,000. At the same time, it was exposed then that the headset includes a depth sensor above the 16MP RGB camera and uses an actively cooled Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1 with 8GB of RAM instead of a next-gen chip.

HTC VIVE Specs

The earlier industry source disclosed that the upcoming HTC Vive headset combines the design and slim form factor of the HTC Vive Flow with the technical performance of the HTC Vive Focus 3. However, the device is technically much more powerful: It works independently like the Vive Focus 3.

In addition, the integrated SoC is much faster than the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1, which works in Meta Quest 2 and Vive Focus 3, among others. While it offers up to three times as much graphics performance as the last-generation chip.

The HTC Vive Flowcus incorporates what is arguably the best feature of the HTC Vive Flow: a diopter adjustment for visual acuity that can be made directly on the lenses, doing away with the need for a headset or contact lenses. In contrast to the HTC Vive Flow, a tactile slider may also be used to change the lens distance. You can fasten a light shield to the casing for complete virtual reality immersion.

Additionally, the upcoming HTC device features four tracking cameras built in, just like the Pico 4, and an RGB sensor. Color passthrough is said to be available with the HTC Vive Flowcus. The VR headset contains two integrated LC screens with a maximum refresh rate of 120 hertz and a resolution of 1,920 by 1,920 pixels.

As the CES 2023 is still ongoing, the launch of the new HTC Vive is yet to be announced openly. Thus, stay connected with TechGengz as we give you more updates.
