Back in 2021, Xiaomi publicly declared its intention to build cars. Since then, the Chinese-based technology company has been gearing up its energy towards achieving such. In doing so, Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s CEO, has been reported to have resigned as chairman of Xiaomi Pictures and will now concentrate on the Company’s autos vision or, we can say, building Xiaomi Cars.

As a prominent figure in the technology sphere, Lei Jun’s trick has attracted much attention. Recently, CNMO reported his resignation as chairman of Xiaomi Films and withdrawal from the company. The Qichacha App claims that Xiaomi Film Co., Ltd. recently underwent commercial and industrial adjustments, with Lei Jun resigning as chairman and Hong Feng resigning as a director.

Since announcing plans to start producing automobiles in 2021, Xiaomi has grown related businesses quickly. Lei Jun, the founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi has focused more of his work on creating automobiles. Lei Jun previously left various posts in addition to his chairmanship at Xiaomi Pictures.

Xiaomi Pictures Co., Ltd. was founded in June 2016 with a registered capital of 50 million yuan, according to information from Qichacha. Wang Chuan is the legal representation. Hong Feng and Liu De jointly own shares in the company, which also conducts a performance brokerage and produces radio and television programs.

Not long ago, Lei Jun reportedly resigned from his positions as executive director of Xiaomi Interactive Entertainment, Beijing Xiaomi Electronic Products Co., Ltd., and Beijing Xiaomi Electronic Software Technology Co., Ltd. in the recent 2022.

However, it’s important to note that Lei Jun recently published an internal open letter announcing that Lu Weibing would succeed Wang Xiang as the new group president. Wang Xiang, the current president of Xiaomi Group, will continue to work for Xiaomi as a senior consultant after officially stepping down as group president on December 30, 2022.
