Last December, Xiaomi unveiled its latest flagship smartphone – the Xiaomi 13 series in the Chinese market. The smartphone features a Leica camera with a 1-inch Sony IMX 989 sensor. The series comprises the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 13 Lite, with the Pro leading the models.

However, after several months, the Chinese mobile brand finally unveiled the flagship smartphone in the global market at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023) in Spain. The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Lite were officially announced at the MWC 2023, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro was launched in the Indian market.

The Leica cameras on the Xiaomi 13 Pro makes the smartphone stand unique. Although the earlier version launched in China last year also featured the Leica camera with a 1-inch Sony IMX 989 sensor, this has been graded with some improvement. Now, let’s take a tour of the Xiaomi 13 Pro.

Xiaomi 13 Pro Full Specs

A 6.78-inch 2K flexible E6 AMOLED LTPO display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a maximum brightness of 1900 nits, support for HDR10+, and Dolby Vision is included in the Xiaomi 13 Pro.

The smartphone has an ultra-slim frame and a premium design. It has a metal frame and an attractive glass sandwich design from all sides. The device has a bezel-free display and a punch-hole front design.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a triple rear camera combination with a 50 MP Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor, a 50 MP telephoto lens, a 3x optical zoom, and Leica’s Floating Lens element, as well as a 50 MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a macro feature. The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 32 MP selfie camera on the front.

Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, along with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, powers the Xiaomi 13 Pro. It utilizes MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13.

The smartphone has a 4,820 mAh battery that supports both 50 W wireless charging and 120 W rapid charging. The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a variety of connectivity features, including 5G, 4G, 3G, and 2G support, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, dual speakers, Dolby Atmos, and more.

Pricing and Availability

The Xiaomi 13 Pro enters the Indian market in two color options – Ceramic Black and Ceramic White and is priced at ₹79,999. According to the mobile brand, the smartphone will be available on the company’s official website and eCommerce platform, Amazon, starting March 10th.
