Just recently, iQOO confirmed that it will be launching its next-generation Z-series smartphone – the iQOO Z7 series in the Indian market on March 21. According to the smartphone brand, the event will begin at 12 PM on March 21 and will be live-streamed on YouTube and other social media channels of the company.

However, in the early hours of today, iQOO took to its Weibo handle to reveal that the iQOO Z7 series will be launched at 7 pm on March 20 in the Chinese market. The poster gives the first look at the iQOO Z7. The iQOO Z7 series will also include another model called the Z7x.

While the company is yet to confirm the design of the Z7x, it could be quite similar to the Z7. As can be seen in the poster, the Z7 will come in shades like orange and blue. Unlike the Chinese variant, the Indian variant is expected to come in two color options black and blue. Now, let’s take a tour of iQOO’s Z-series smartphones.

iQOO Z7 India Variant

The iQOO Z7 5G India variant will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC under the hood. The 64MP dual-camera configuration on the back and an AMOLED display have both been confirmed by the mobile brand.

However, iQOO has declared its intention to introduce the Z7 series in China. The company will introduce two new Z7 series smartphones. The iQOO Z7 and Z7X will be the names of these. The Z7’s Chinese model will differ from the one that goes on sale in India.

iQOO Z7 Series China Variant

There will be a difference between the iQOO Z7 series debuting in China and India. iQOO has confirmed the launch of its new Z-series phones in China on March 20. There are two new mid-range smartphones in the iQOO Z7 series coming to China – the iQOO Z7 and iQOO Z7x.

Both phones have flat frames and curved back panels. The Z7X includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and appears to be debuting in blue. On the other hand, the Z7 will debut in an orange hue. On the rear of each phone is a sizable rectangular camera module. Both devices will have optical image stabilization (OIS) for the primary camera and have a dual-camera system on the back.

In addition to the design, the iQOO has also confirmed that the Z7 series will support 120W fast charging out of the box. Only the Z7 5G is likely to support the quick charging technology. According to a recent 3C listing, the Z7x will offer 80W fast charging.

According to rumors, the Z7 5G will include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782 SoC, which could be an improvement above the Snapdragon 778G SoC. The Snapdragon 782 appears to be a slight improvement over the Snapdragon 778G based on the nomenclature.

However, another rumor states that the 6.67-inch IPS LCD screen on the Z7 5G China model has a refresh rate of 120Hz. It might have a 50 MP main camera and a 5000mAh battery.

The iQOO Z7x 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC, which is frequently found in many Indian smartphones priced less. The phone is also said to feature a 6000mAh battery. Both devices should come pre-installed with Android 13 at launch. There are currently no known additional details regarding the impending Z7 series in China. Thus, stay connected with TechGenyz.
