Ahead of Google’s annual developer conference – Google I/O 2023 scheduled to begin on May 10th in Mountain View, Pixel Tablet has been spotted on the UL Solutions and FCC database websites. The websites revealed the connectivity and charging speeds of the upcoming Google tablet.

The FCC listing confirms the device to be a wireless mobile device, but the UL Solutions listing reveals that the device is indeed a tablet. Now, let’s look at the duo listings.

FCC Website Listings

The Google Pixel Tablet has been spotted on the FCC website with the model number GTU8P. The FCC listing confirmed the device supports three connectivity standards namely Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and UWB.

On the other hand, the UL Solutions listing has verified that the device is an Android tablet even though the description itself does not specify what kind of gadget it is.

Recall that at the launch event for the Pixel 7 series last year, Google unveiled the tablet and said it would be available in 2023. The device is getting close to its scheduled introduction, according to the FCC filing. Apart from the UWB connection, the FCC listing doesn’t reveal anything.

Google Pushing for UWB Connectivity

Google may broaden the scope of UWB connectivity with the Pixel Tablet beyond the digital car key features found on Pixel phones. Therefore, we anticipate a tap-to-transfer connectivity system on the Google Pixel Table. Moreover, Google has been developing UWB connectivity for Nest speakers.

In the future, connectivity functions such as casting music from a tablet to a speaker or from a phone to a tablet may be available. There is currently little information available regarding the effects of UWB connectivity on the Pixel Tablet.

UL Solutions Listing

The UL Solutions listing has verified that the GTU8P model is a tablet. Moreover, a charging station with the model number GMD6J is shown in the duplicate listing. The Google Pixel Tablet will allow fast charging up to 18W, according to this listing. On the other hand, it is claimed that the charging dock will support the device’s 30W rapid charging.

Google I/O 2023 to Unveil the Pixel Tablet

Unfortunately, the listing did not reveal any things about the chipset, cameras, and other specifications. However, as we await the Google I/O 2023 next month we hope to get more details about the upcoming Google tablet.

At the event, Google is anticipated to reveal several products, including the Pixel tablet, Pixel 7A, Pixel Fold, Android 14, and more. Thus, stay tuned.
