The teaser image depicts the 13 Ultra’s rear panel as being olive green in colour. Similar to the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, the rear panel has a leather-like finish on the back.

The smartphone will initially be available in two colours: Green and White. According to Xiaomi, the device’s rear panel is made to have the texture and feel of a Leica camera.

The region of the phone’s rear panel beneath the camera module is raised slightly above the rest of the body. This can be a result of the larger sensors crammed into the engine.

On the back, there is a quad camera arrangement. The Leica logo is prominently displayed in the centre of the enormous spherical camera module. The phone’s IP68 grade for water and dust protection was also disclosed by Xiaomi. In addition to this, Xiaomi claimed that the metal frame is 4.4 times resistant to bending.

Depending on the user’s preferences, the 13 Ultra’s primary camera’s aperture can be changed between f/1.9 and f/4.0.

Three Sony IMX858 sensors are confirmed to be part of the camera system. There will be lenses with an optical telephoto zoom at 3x and 5x as well as ultra-wide angle lenses. At the same time, Xiaomi CEO, Lie confirmed each of the four camera sensors would have a resolution of 50MP.

A robust 5000mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging is claimed to be included in the 13 Ultra. Under the hood, it will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM are also expected to be included in the device.

The 13 Ultra is said to have a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with curved edges and a 2K resolution on the front. The top centre of the screen will have a hole punched out of it.

Additionally, a 120Hz refresh rate will be supported. Finally, the phone will launch MIUI 14 out of the box, which is based on Android 13.
